I was born and raised in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. We lived in a two story concrete house designed by Thomas Edison in a little section of town called Valley View.
I took naps when I was very young listening to Bach, Beethoven, Gershwin and
show tunes. I remember the music and the naps and have no idea if or how I
fell asleep but I guess I did because I definitely remember waking up and
noticing that the music was off. The music was selected by my mother who was
a fine singer
and pianist.
I saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan when I was nine. At 14 I was finally allowed
to trade in my clarinet for an electric bass and evolved over time into a
writer/composer - starting with pop tunes - eventually resulting in the current
work.
I am self-taught on piano and guitar. Took some lessons on flute and played
quite a bit of it in rock groups in the 70's (thank you dad- after all - for
the clarinet lessons) and have been studying cello for the last 6 years with
violinist Alex Djokic of Lambertville and cellist Jodi Bader of the Princeton
area.
I have a studio in my home that I finance by assisting a few young artists
in capturing worthy performances of their work and helping them to sound the
best they can.
I am 46 years old and my wife Mary is a social worker. We live in a two story,
concrete, TV FREE house in Doylestown, Pennsylvania with our really great
cat named Edna.
